2-Day Colca Canyon Adventure: Condors, Oasis & Hot Springs!
Trek through one of the deepest canyons in the world, the Colca Canyon.
The 2 day/1 night trek is a moderate/hard hike.
The first day of trekking is approximately 5 or 6 hours (1 hour uphill, 1-hour flat walk, and 4 hours downhill). The second day is approximately 3 or 4 hours of uphill walking.
DAY 1: Into the Depths of the World’s 2nd Deepest Canyon
Pre-Dawn Departure (3:00-3:30 AM)
We’ll pick you up from your hotel and drive 4 hours to Chivay, stopping in Yanque for breakfast (6:30 AM) with stunning valley views.
Condor Spectacle at Cruz del Cóndor (8:30 AM)
Witness majestic Andean condors soaring over the canyon’s 1,200m depths—40 minutes of awe-inspiring wildlife photography!
Epic 3-Hour Canyon Descent (9:30 AM)
Hike down from 3,300m to 2,100m, crossing suspension bridges and visiting traditional villages (San Juan de Chuccho, Malata, Cosñirhua).
Oasis Sangalle – Your Jungle Paradise (5:00 PM)
Arrive at a palm-fringed oasis with natural pools. Unwind in cozy adobe bungalows and enjoy a starlit dinner under canyon walls.
DAY 2: Sunrise Trek & Hot Springs Bliss
Pre-Sunrise Ascent (5:00 AM)
A challenging but rewarding 3-hour hike out of the canyon—watch the sunrise paint the cliffs gold! (Bring snacks + flashlight.)
Breakfast in Cabanaconde (8:30 AM)
Refuel in this charming village before driving back to Chivay, stopping at:

For those that wish to finish in Puno: On return to Chivay at 1 pm, there will just be 15 minutes for lunch before departing to Puno. Arrival time in Puno is 7 pm, and the drop off point is at Puno Plaza de Armas or Puno bus station. Don’t worry about your big suitcases! Your guide will store them securely for you until you finish hiking.
